Dr. Larisa Sergeyeva is a believer in education being a powerful agent for constructive change for both individuals and society. She has spent 17 years in higher education living into this value. Currently, Larisa is serving as the Dean of Human Services and Technology at Santa Ana Community College. She is committed to helping students experience the transformational power of education by offering them essential tools for lifelong learning–demonstrating that opportunities are the rewards of higher education. Having arrived in the United States as a refugee with no money, no English, and job, Larisa knows the hope and opportunity that education can bring to someone’s life. Therefore, she is personally dedicated to supporting student success at all levels and  facilitating constructive change in the lives of students and the community.
